Activate Tamaki Makaurau. Advice and Support for Auckland Business

From October 2021 to March 2022, the Government made available an economic support package for Auckland businesses affected by extended lock-down, and to assist with the transition to the new COVID-19 Protection Framework.
This was delivered through a programme called Activate Tāmaki Makaurau, and help was available in the areas of Business Advice and Implementation Grants. Auckland businesses were able to apply for funding from 01 December 2021 to March 2022.
Pathfinder Solutions was a registered provider for both Business Advice and Implementation Support with Activate Tāmaki Makaurau with the following support and services:
In the period this grant was available (Oct 2021 to March 2022), through this programme Pathfinder Solutions was able to provide real-world expert business advice, strategy and planning to eligible businesses. Together we were able to address the most immediate challenges businesses faced during the extended Covid-19 lockdown – like pivoting a business, changing the focus of a business, products and/or services to maximise profitability in what was becoming the ‘new normal’.
The types of advice areas we were able to assist with included:
- Business Planning, Strategy, Business Continuity Advice (eg. review current business against future business environment, economic conditions and opportunities)
- Exit Planning or Business Hibernation Planning so businesses could maintain optimal value or achieve a great sale price
- Budgeting, financial or cashflow forecasting so businesses could identify and analyse financial challenges and opportunities and potential solutions
- Scenario planning of major decisions to understand the impacts of various options before implementation.
In the period this grant was available (Oct 2021 to March 2022), through this programme Pathfinder Solutions was able to work with eligible businesses to help implement their plan. This grant was designed to ensure busineses could put their plans into action.
The types of implementation areas we were able to assist businesses with included:
- Implementation of Business Plan, Strategies, Continuity Plan (eg: operational improvements and efficiencies, process improvement, technologies, accountability coaching and support to ensure businesses stayed on track to achieving the plan.
- Implementation of identified budget, P&L, financial or cashflow opportunities (eg: debt restructuring, tender preparation, reporting or measurement systems, cloud accounting solutions, Financial Awareness Coaching and Support to ensure businessess stayed on track to achieving their goals.
- Implementation of identified exit or hibernation actions (eg: memorandum of understanding, shareholder agreements, asset structuring (Companies, Trusts, LTC’s), organisational or operational improvements and efficiencies, process improvement, technologies, profitability and cashflow, Accountability coaching and support to ensure businesses achieved the agreed plan and maximised their sale price or hibernation plan.
